And so the hunt starts…
Well, now that I am officially done school, it’s time to finally hunt for that oh-so-perfect job. Not sure how or if I’ll be able to achieve that, but for right now, I’ll take what I can get as long as it’s in my field of study and I can afford to pay all my bills (that student loan is starting to look scary).
Laptop Death Imminent
It would appear that my laptop is on it’s way out… or at least the screen is… I’ve got the dreaded one pixel vertical blue line down the center of my screen. It makes me sad.
A Change In The Wind and Jane Austen
So, now that I’ve posted Chapter 6 of A Change In The Wind, I’ve started working on Chapter 7. I’ve gotten to a point where I think things are going to change drastically from the movie. I’m trying to decide what exactly to do at this point.
Taxes! Why do things cost so much?
All I have to say is… WTF? The government is trying to kill us all with these tax increases which is now affecting our utilities. Because they’re getting charged more, they’re passing the cost down to the consumers. No one who’s paying these new bills are getting any kind of pay increase so where is this money supposed to come from? Local politician, Controller Gina Barber asked that question as well and she makes one heck of a good point.

So, I took a few paragraphs from A Change In The Wind and this was the result:
Pirates of the Caribbean
I’ve pretty much spent the whole weekend watching the Pirates of the Caribbean movies in hopes of getting some inspiration for A Change In The Wind. It’s been working for the most part, but I’m still a little stuck on the scene that will happen after the first voyage to Isla de Muerta. I could go with mostly what happens in the movie, but I feel like I need to do something completely different. I’ve thought of how the dynamics on the ship would be now that Norrington is there. In the movie, Turner sort of took over as captain, but with Norrington there, it would make more sense that he would be in charge. It’s a lot to think about and try to plan. BUT, while I’m debating these ideas, here’s a sneak peek at the new chapter:
The Blog
So, I’ve been enjoying WordPress for the main page so much that I decided to create a personal blog on this site for my random thoughts and musings because it’s just that easy. Here, I could post anything I felt like. I’ve decided that I’m going to post anything from excerpts from upcoming chapters to my views on current events. I figure, it’s my personal site so why not?
Currently, I am using a WordPress layout that I found on the site until I either make my own or just decide to stick with this one. I’m quite tempted to since I really like this theme… Very tempting…
